Zoo Trip
Room 7 and I took a trip to the Auckland Zoo. It was such a good day for our class. Our class got separated and they got to go with Diana, Linda, Miss Paton, Emmy and Juliet’s Aunty Amelia. When we first got there we needed to sit on the bus until the zoo man could tell us when we could get off the bus. When we got out of the bus, the first animals we saw were the giraffes, zebra, ostrich and the rhinos at Pridelands. Next we saw the lions. They were sleeping in the sun. The lions were female. The lions were also lazy and were lying down. At 1030am it was morning tea. After morning we did some work from the booklet about other animals.
Next we saw the seals. The seal’s were showing off. It was fun with my class. Then we saw the blue penguin. They were under a shade shelter. They got put under there because the seal’s might eat them. Next we saw the alligators. The alligators were camouflaged.
At 12:30pm, we went on a tour. Our tour guide was Laura.
We got to touch a snake skin on our tour. We saw camouflaged lizards. When I was on the tour with Laura I learnt that the Spider Monkeys only have four fingers and the Orangutans have five fingers. They also have long arms and legs. Room 7 and I had a wonderful day at the zoo.
